Gray hairs...Genesis 42:38

The children asked that I blog about a particular subject. I've been trying to ignore it, but it doesn't seem to be going away.

On the morning of January 3 as The Man was heading to the office I noticed that he hadn't shaved.

"Are you trying to grow a beard?"

"No. God makes it grow and I just decided to quit shaving it off every morning."

This is not the first time he has had a beard, and it probably won't be the last (assuming that this one will be shaved eventually). He's probably had a beard about half a dozen times since I've known him.

I'm okay with The Man not shaving for a day or two, or even a week, but I happen to like The Man's face and I don't care for him covering it up completely. The kids say they hope he never shaves again.
What do you think? (Self-Portrait courtesy of The Man)

Just 2-3 months ago The Man was asking me about gray hair and what I did to my hair. I don't think he much believed me when I said "nothing". (There are a few there but they kinda of blend in, mostly, but showing more all the time!) Looks like The Man may have more than me, but they're all on his face. Oh well. Thankfully he still has hair on his head. Do we get to see a close up of that??

My hard-working-hero decided recently to shave his head completely bald, but grow a goatee. Go Figure.

I personally LOVE my guy with a beard once the stubby's grow in. I hate that first week where I feel like I'm kissing a porcupine, painful! And you can always tell when the kids were playing with daddy because they're cheeks are bright red from the beard. LOL I love the rugged look but it took a long time to grow on me. Now I'm sold! MUch to my dismay, this job he has now won't let him grow a beard. Wahhhh lol

BTW, I didn't advertise my new blog at the old one for 3 reasons, a) anonymity (sp?) b) It's a little more umm colorful at times and I didn't want the LwC crowd to judge me & c) I wanted to get away from a few intrusive readers, it freaked me out a bit, you weren't one of them though. LOL ;-)

I vote for shaving.

Every once and a while Derrick tries to do the same thing and it drives me nuts! (I swear he just does it to irritate me though! :)).

I, too, vote for shaving...
Jason has a goatee and for some reason, I just wish that I could see his face, one of these days!

Dear Friend,

As I read your post, I started looking for the "continue reading" link because you had not yet said anything about gray hair. Well, as they say a picture's worth a thousand words.

Keep up the good work.
